ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Art and the love I have for art has enriched my life beyond words. The thrill of creating is priceless. My passion to become a modern avant-garde artist is a lifelong persuit.

The content of my work is a reflection of over thirty years of life as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Each piece reflects the experiences and emotions of its era. The strong influences of my education and the American Abstract Expressionists of the 30’s and 40’s have prepared me, after many years of studies and experminentation, to develop my own original mixed media style. As a young BFA graduate I vowed never to be separated from my art and through sheer determination and faith have managed to incorporate art into all aspects of my life.

After working for many years as a proprietor of three retail stores, founder and ceo of a wholesale art/craft supply business, an author of 6 craft books, a web site designer, a computer graphic designer and a long time arts volunteer, I am finally realizing my dream of concentrating on fine art. Living with my art makes it accessable 24 hours a day....an incalculable experience!

My art has been purchased by producers, builders, investors and collectors of all ages.

My latest collection, Integrated Design, is a tribute to modern technology. These works pay homage to the electronic hardware elements that continually deliver to us the information and images which make life today so unique. This electronica has indeed become historic. My designs are expressions of ideas and emotions inspired by today’s technological revolution.

And so I continue.....
